At the Ko Festival of Performance we repeatedly hear about the moments of transformation and transcendence our community of audience members and artists have experienced at our home in Amherst, MA as they participated in our
- theme-based seasons of performances and the stimulating opportunities for dialogue that follow every performance
- intensive six-day workshops, where people come to take a creative leap
- rehearsal residencies, where new work is broached in an environment of rigorous support
- internships that expose young people, particularly women, to technical and managerial skills, multiple creative processes, and time with the extraordinary roster of artists we produce
Now we are concentrating on uplifting and amplifying the voices of ensemble and solo artists through co-presenting/producing, the development of new work, mentorship – both artistic and administrative, particularly for those who have been underserved or need further devleopment and coaching, design and production services, and the collaborating on new artistic works.
